How do I become a library reader and how much will it cost me?
Ask one of your parents to go to the library with you for the first time, fill out the application form and confirm the correctness of the information and agreement with the borrowing rules with your signature. After paying the registration fee of CZK 50, you are logged in. This fee is for the entire calendar year, so if you sign up in March, for example, you are paid until the following March.
What can I borrow from the library?
Books, magazines, e-books, audio books, board games and Magical reading.
Where can I find books and magazines that are in the library?
You can also look at the online catalog here from home, if you don’t know how to search, come to the library and the librarian will advise you how to search in it.
How long can I borrow books for?
The borrowing period for books is one month and for magazines 14 days. If you do not return the books and magazines on time, or if you do not renew them, we will send you a reminder that is payable.
What if I lose my pass?
We will issue you a new one for CZK 10, but you will pay CZK 50 for a repeated loss.
What if I don’t have time to read the books?
It doesn’t matter, just renew them by phone, email or online via our catalog. However, it will not work there if you have books for more than 3 months, the books are reserved by another reader or you have not paid the fees for the year.
What should I do if I lose or damage a book?
It happens that if it is slightly damaged, you will pay a maximum of 50 CZK to 100 CZK fee, if you have lost it, it is best to buy the same new book or you will pay an additional fee in addition to the price of the book.
Can I use my card to go to the adult department?
Unfortunately, this is not possible, if you want to borrow a book from the adult department, e.g. compulsory reading, the librarian will go there to get it for you.
Can I go to the library on the Internet?
Of course, during borrowing hours, when it is open in the children’s department. Half an hour a day is free
